Bassenthwaite Parish Room Bassenthwaite Parish Room stands by itself on a winding country lane in the heart of the English Lake District surrounded by fells and with a spectacular immediate view of Skiddaw rising up just a few fields away.
The Parish Room (the Cumbrian equivalent of a Village Hall) can be hired as a budget venue for parties and wedding receptions or for low cost group accommodation for up to around 50 people (bring your own beds/bedding). Groups looking at camping barns find the Parish Room an ideally situated and well-equipped alternative. Bassenthwaite village is less than half a mile away and is home to the Sun Inn, a popular and friendly pub. Both Keswick and Cockermouth are a little over 6 miles away.
